AFT General Info
Back to Back T1/E1 Operation
All AFT T1/E1 Ports can be connected back to back using a T1/E1 cross-over cable. T1/E1 Cross-Over Cable pins connections are: 1-4 and 2-5 In back to back operation between two T1/E1 devices, one device SHOULD be in MASTER clock mode and other in NORMAL (Slave) clock mode. This relates to Sangoma back to back port operation as well as any other equipment connecting to Sangoma T1/E1 ports using a cross over cable, such as Channel Banks or external routers. IMPORTANT: MASTER Clock mode should NEVER be used when connecting a Sangoma T1/E1 Port to a Telco T1/E1 line.

AFT A101D: Single Port T1/E1 Card (with Optional HW Echo Canceller)
AFT A101D Specifications The A101D (formerly known as the A101dm) uses the Dallas/Maxim T1/E1 framer.
Firmware recovery jumpers, in case of emergency:
Connect the only two jumpers, located on top right hand corner of the card: jumper JP5. Located beside resistor R152. (Same as A108D)
AFT A102D: 2 Port T1/E1 Card (with Optional HW Echo Canceller)

AFT Analog Power Connection for FXS Modules
AFT A200 card with FXS modules, or A200 cards connected via backplane bus, need much more power than a regular PCI bus can provide. In order for an FXS module or multiple cards to work properly, a 4 pin computer power cable must be plugged in to the main card itself. This is the same power cable, male connector, that one would connect to a hard driver or a cdrom. Any regular computer power supply should provide more than enough power, however for best and most reliable performance, bigger the power supply the better (eg: 450W) A SINGLE A200 with no Remora and only FXO modules (i.e.pnly 4 ports FXO) does not need to be connected to computer power supply! All other combinations DO, including any FXO combination that has more than 4 FXO ports!
The external power cable should be used by default on all systems, if possible.
FXO/FXS Modules on A200 Analog Card
FXO modules are RED in color FXS modules are GREEN in color An A200 Analog card can be outfitted with any combination of the two. All FXO or FXS or one of each. Furthermore, each RJ4 pin port is either mapped to FXO or FXS module depending on the physical location of the FXO/FXS module on the card. FXO/FXS Modules have RED/GREEN face and BLUE back. This way the installation of FXO/FSX modules will be simplified. The analog port will glow RED or GREEN depending on which type of modules is installed.
Module and Ports Mapping
The bottom port is port 1 and top port is port 4. The module closest to the 12v molex connector corresponds to ports 1 and 2 and the module closest to the pci brackets corresponds to ports 3 and 4. 
Multiple AFT A200 Analog Cards/Ports
A single AFT A200 card supports 4 Analog ports (FXS/FXO). To increase capacity one can add on "Daughter Cards" labeled "Remoras", that connect to the main AFT200 card using a backplane bus. One can cascade up to 5 "Daughter Cards" increasing capacity to 24 Analog ports. Moreover, daughter cards do not use the PCI bus nor do they need an extra power cables.
Whenever you are using FXS modules or additional remora daughter cards, you still need to connect an internal 12V power to A200 main board.
Sangoma SLIM Telephone Cables Connectors
Sangoma A200 cards use SLIM 4 pin telephone cable connectors. The initial shipment of telephone cables contained these SLIM connectors on both sides of the cable. As it turns out, the SLIM 4pin connectors are not reliable when connected to a standard telephone 6pin female connector. Therefore, if you received a telephone cable from Sangoma with SLIM 4pin connectors on BOTH ends of the cable, CUT one end off and attach a standard 6pin telephone connector to that end of the cable.
FXO FXS Module Installation
Slide the modules into the main card until you feel the modules click home properly. You should be able to read the designation FXO or FXS on the outside of the card (Remora) after installation.

NB: If you should make a mistake and install the modules the wrong way round, the modules will not work, but they will not be damaged.

AFT Analog Power Connection for FXS Modules
The AFT A400 card needs much more power then a regular PCI bus can provide. In order for an FXS module or multiple cards to work properly, a 4pin computer power cable must be plugged in to the main card itself. This is the same power cable, male connector, that one would connect to a hard driver or a cdrom. Any regular computer power supply should provide more than enough power, however for best and most reliable performance, bigger the power supply the better (eg: 450W). An extension power splitter cable is included with your card for this purpose.
FXO/FXS Modules
FXO modules are RED in color FXS modules are GREEN in color An A400 Analog card can be outfitted with any combination of the two. All FXO or FXS or one of each. Furthermore, each RJ4 pin port is either mapped to FXO or FXS module depending on the physical location of the FXO/FXS module on the card. The FXO/FXS Modules will have RED/GREEN face and BLUE back. This way the installation of FXO/FSX modules will be simplified. Furthermore, only the new BLUE back FXO/FXS modules support the LED indicator feature. Where the analog port will glow RED or GREEN depending on which type of modules is installed.
Cabling
The A400 comes complete with a cable with a DB25 connector for mating with DB25 on the card or REMORA faceplate and 12 pairs of standard telephone wiring ready for punching into a termination strip at the other end. Wiring is colour coded correctly for North America.

Module and Port Mapping
The module furthest from the mounting clip and DB25 is port 1 and 2 (BLUE-WHITE and ORANGE-WHITE) on the first REMORA and 14 and 14 on the next, etc. The cabling remains the same, so these ports are all the same colour code: BLUE-WHITE and ORANGE-WHITE for ports 1-2, 13-14, 25-26 etc.

AFT A104D: Quad Port T1/E1 with HW Echo Cancellation AFT A104D Specifications
2006-10-06 IMPORTANT: Hardware Change From Oct 2006 the A104D cards will contain a hardware change that will break backward driver compatablity. The New A104D cards will only work with Latest BETA Release: beta9-2.3.4 or higher.

S519 ADSL2+ Card
The S519 cards consists of a Realtek 8139 PCI network interface and an ADSL/ADSL2+ modem. This design makes the installation of this card very simple, the Realtek 8139 drivers are very common and are included in almost every Operating System available. The modem is configured either through your web browser or a telnet connection.

Power LED Solid Green = Power on Off = Power off Red = POST (Power On Self Test) failure (not bootable) or Device malfunction
Ethernet LED Solid Green = Powered device connected to the associated port Flashing Green = LAN activity present (traffic in either direction)
DSL LED Solid Green = DSL good sync Off = Modem power off Flashing Green = DSL attempting sync Flashing at 2 Hz with a 50% duty cycle when trying to detect carrier signal Flashing at 4 Hz with a 50% duty cycle when the carrier has been detected and the modem is trying to train
Internet LED Solid Green = IP connected (the device has a WAN IP address from IPCP or DHCP and DSL is up or a static IP address is configured, PPP negotiation has successfully complete - if used - and DSL is up ) and no traffic detected. If the IP or PPPoE session is dropped due to an idle timeout, the light will remain green if an ADSL connection is still present. If the session is dropped for any other reason, the light is turned off. The light will turn red when it attempts to reconnect and DHCP or PPPoE fails. Off = Modem power off, modem in bridged mode or ADSL connection not present Flickering Green = IP connected and IP Traffic is passing thru the device (either direction) Red = Device attempted to become IP connected and failed (no DHCP response, no PPPoE response, PPPoE authentication failed, no IP address from IPCP, etc.)For bridged mode, the indicator light MUST be off.
